Stand In the middle of 2 blocks so when you break one you will on be the other
Don't dig straight up gravel and sand can fall on you
Make a staircase up and out of the hole
Don't build 1 block up you can get shot off
Make a ladder and as you are going up build up
Light up your mine or there will be mobs
